Nicole A. Swails
Attorney Nicole Swails is an associate at Wayne Law S.C., focusing on business law, estate planning, and litigation. Nicole brings a unique combination of legal and business leadership experience to her practice, having recently served as Director of Legal and Administrative Affairs at a Madison-based pharmaceutical company.
Nicole began her career at the pharmaceutical company as an intern in 2007, transitioned into full-time operations in 2016, and after earning her law degree in 2022, stepped into the role of in-house counsel. In this leadership position, she reviewed, drafted, and negotiated a wide variety of contracts, including nondisclosure agreements, master service agreements, employment agreements, and other complex business instruments. She also oversaw human resources, administration, and finance, giving her a comprehensive understanding of both the legal and operational needs of businesses.
Nicole continues to serve as general counsel for the company through her role at Wayne Law S.C. and uses this invaluable experience to provide outside counsel services to other businesses seeking practical, industry-informed legal guidance. Her background uniquely positions her to understand business challenges from both legal and operational perspectives.
Originally from Sauk City, Wisconsin, Nicole has deep roots in the state. Despite traveling across the country during her childhood, she always knew Wisconsin would be home. She returned to Madison after graduating from UW-La Crosse and continues to be an active member of the local community. In her free time, Nicole enjoys reading, kayaking on the lakes in Minocqua, and spending time with her husband, dog, and three cats.
